Health and Social Care (Children and Young People)

The Health and Social Care (CYP) qualification will provide you with the skills and confidence to make a positive contribution to the Health and Social Care sector.

This qualification is suitable for learners currently employed or seeking employment within settings such as domicillary or residential child care, residential family centres or foster care or community based healthcare settings

The Health and Social Care  qualification will also allow you to apply for registration with Social Care Wales as a registered Care Worker (providing that additional requirements are met).

Duration: 12 - 18 months

The course is split into 2 parts:

Core. 

Fundamental Principles and Values required for anyone wishing to work in the Health and Social Care Sector.

Practical.

Applies the Fundamental Principles and Values learned in the Core Module to practical scenarios within the Health and Social Care sector.

The Health and Social Care (CYP qualification is delivered through an engaging individual remote learning programme that makes use of online activities and resources. 

This aspect of your learning is supported with a personalised learning plan, a range of online and digital resources and regular one to one sessions.
